Version 0.0.69.69.0.0 (Post Jam) is now available!

Game description:

Play as Sparrow, a freshly-graduated space engineer. Put all your engineering skills to the test, by repairing damaged spacecrafts for your corporate overlords at Hartmann Inc. Join a team of highly professional veteran engineers and rise to the very top!

"Warning - high difficulty". -Well, it is literally rocket science...

Actually the game is meant to be more like a 2D Half-life or an old resident evil title with shooting/crafting fused with more extensive rpg elements .

Additional features include:

Loot your way trough the TSS Pacifica.
Hack computers and mechanical devices.
Solve engaging engineering problems.
Craft wondrous devices and useful items.
Pilot exotic machinery.
Enjoy the relaxing background humming of spacecrafts and take in futuristic sceneries.

And always remember:
In space, nobody can hear you.....
-repair mass fusion reactors.

Changes in V0.0.69.69.0.0

-difficulty will be lowered as many players feel overwhelmed at the later stages
-a save point will be added before phase 3 of the boss fight and right before phase 1
-typo removals
-additional "guiding" star lights will be added to the chase sequence
-players will receive more hp and less fuel reserves for the boss fight
-phase 2 will be shortened
-the boss firing rate will be lowered in phase 3
-tutorial prompt that will remind players to use the mouse for aiming and shooting
-more hand holding in general
-all alternate control schemes will be disabled, forcing players to use wasd+mouse from the get go (I thought this wasn't necessary, because the tutorial told players to use the mouse and almost all games on PC that involve shooting, intuitively utilize the mouse for aiming&shooting. Still some players were  incapable of pressing the left mouse button and blamed the game to be faulty... a PC game...not even trying to use the mouse for shooting mechanics...just how?...)
-random hints will be displayed on the menu screen .
-an additional map and scripted event  for the insane players who somehow make it past the boss in phase 1
-all enemies and the player will now die instantly upon being dealt the finishing blow
-the observation deck map will be more illuminated by the starlight
-the Valkyrie gets an increased firing cone and a proper "death" animation
-save terminals will have their loop removed, which will allow for faster saving
-restoring power to an area will have a more impactful effect on the areas' lighting.
-The info center office maps will be added back into the game
-Nora a new story character gets introduced
-new character "Doge", the Belluga's vicious guard joins the crew
-more collectable/consumable items, item descriptions and Sparrow will make fun random comments after consuming various food items
-a new enemy type, the deadly "stormer husk" will be added
-a new enemy type, the immature acid spitter joins the fray
-a new enemy type, the Sin-oA will be added
-a new massive Boss the "All-Sin" will be added
-a stamina system will be implemented
-the flamethrower and fuel can now be crafted at the crafting station
-a survivor npc with optional quests can be found hiding in the offices
-more typos will be introduced with the expanded story line
-more hand animated cutscenes
-some minor fixes and changes (animations, but mostly sound volume adjustments etc) will be implemented
-more story content, the entire chapter 1 is added + extra

Thank you for playing Silent Space - Code Pacifica

If you like the game and want to see more, let me know in the comments.
The story is far from being concluded and a lot of twists and turns are still waiting to be uncovered.
This was quite the experience. And sadly not in a good way. It's not that I m salty about not getting very far with the game jam. This was my first game so expectations were low anyways. But my game was treated very poorly. I will quit making games all together and also stop working on my main project (Aeon RP0, which was in development for almost an entire year), as I feel my time is better spend elsewhere.
So in the end I learned something  after all  ^^

Sorry, for the late reply. Unlike most games, you can only save at computer terminals or before certain events. The game has a save point system.

Hey Miha,

Just wanted to say good luck in your life. I really understand the situation that you had recently. It is really hard to bring something new and unique to the table especially to those people who used to the usual stuffs.

As for the game, thank you so much for releasing the post-jam update. I really admire your skills and I really hope that I could learn a thing or two from your game making skills.

Best regards,

Ikmal.

Thanks bro,

I appreciate your kind words. I tried really hard to bring the rpgmaker players something, that I thought was fun and unique...Then all the work I put into custom animations, which I thought people would like, since they are so rarely seen in rpgm games...  just oof.. :( If you have beaten the first boss, you will know what I'm talking about.

Anyways, I'm fine being dropped out of the contest that early. Especially after seeing that some users hated my game enough, to give it 2star reviews.

There is also some good that came out of the contest. Like I saw some streams from Benny and Hawk, of whom I never heard before and they seem to be cool dudes. I also had the opportunity to interact with devs like you, who are also cool dudes and dudettes xD
But most importantly, without the jam I would have continued working on my "one big rpg" for the next two years or so, just to realize that I wasted my time in the end.  That might not be true for everyone, so don't get discouraged by what I'm saying.  Yeah right, now that I'm out of the running, it will be up to you to create the next big rpg maker game Ikmal :)

good luck out there,

Miha

This game is truly a masterpiece! If you enjoyed hardxcore survival games back in the early 2000s, this game is definitely for you. After beating it once, the replay factor is huge as you try and speed run it. Definitely give this a try!

Thanks, that s so kind of you Jazhoom.
